I saved $440 with GEICO!!

I really did.

A totally unrewarding evening at EJ's with Mikey and Curt. Jarred the bartender, who hasn't the decency to call, text or smoke signal had the temerity to tell Mikey that he got the shirt I sent him, but didn't have the guts to speak to me directly. Brim was all over the bar, and I was over him in about 30 seconds flat. Now, I smell like smoke, I have a headache and I'm just plain revolted about the concept of gay men in general.

Exchanged a few messages with Jayce tonight; why on earth did I think that things would be different with him? Had a message from Judy's kid; another "what the fuck am I thinking?" and an exchange with Trevor, who's all off doing his thing with his lying, cheating boyfriend.

I just need to get a grip.

In addition to spending nearly $50 less on my auto insurance renewal today, I bought a ticket to see E in Vancouver for $29.60 (using OnePass miles.) I'm very happy to be going to visit him; it's been since the week before Johnny died that I've seen him, and I've never been to the city with the highest standard of living in the world before.

Things today work-wise went quite well; got a whole lot cleared out here. Lunch tomorrow with the Olivia woman, which is exciting.

Have a bunch of tax returns to complete tomorrow; now that I have the decks cleared, maybe I can get them done.

Monday, Monday ver. 628.01

What a day. Without going into (very personal) detail, I ran headlong into some issues that should probably have been handled in the IFLP back in 1996. They were so strong that, after I felt like shooting up a Starbucks (after having been told that shooting up a post office was too 1990's) I got sick and had to sleep.

I went to class, even after questioning whether it would be productive, and it was. I didn't get down TO it, but I got some relief and clarity, and hopefully I'll get more progress.

Ruby's stereo is MUCHLY improved, and I think it's going to seriously rock after Wednesday when Joey re-wires the front channels. I wrote a letter to ROCS who installed the system back in May 2002, and told them that they were lying dirty bastards (I didn't, however, call them republicans) and I'm sure that nothing further will come of that.

I got a bunch of other stuff mailed out today; tomorrow, it's all about .. what? The eight corporate tax returns, or the Fabulair business plan? One or the other.

Spent an hour today trying to find out how to activate my OnStar. I have to find an analog cellular plan to support it. No luck yet.

Time for some sleep. The Rev called today; they rescheduled the class from Sunday to tomorrow night .. the ONLY night I had free.

A little later, the car stereo and the DVD are resurrected

Had my car's stereo worked on today; turns out that I probably have a bad monster cable from the head unit to the amplifier rack in the trunk. Rather than trouble-shoot the problem and fix it, they bridged the front channel input, and the also managed to use a front channel output to run the subwoofer. Now, we have all the connections correct, and the short in one door speaker fixed - Wednesday, he's coming back to check the monster cable, fixing the stereo (I can get another 20% out of it, I'm just sure) and then installing the OnStar.

Mikey fiddled with the menu settings on the new DVD player, and now my living room sounds like the local multi-plex. WOW. It's awesome.

Nicole brought over a new two-drawer plastic file cabinet for me; it's TERRIFIC - I put the printer/MFC on it, which brought it down to eye level, and created a bunch more flat space to PUT things on. Plus, I can split out some file drawers in my three drawer cabinet, which creates a WHOLE lot more space for the Divo when he's working. Thanks to Nicole, who's lovely and wonderful!

Tomorrow brings a whole day of productivity, I hope.

Talked to Jayce a bit yesterday, that was very nice.

Okay, back to the home theater, and then to bed!

Sunday and the re-birth of whoever you believe in

The blood sugar is too high today - 151. Not that I've been eating Easter candy, I haven't. I think I've been gaining weight again, and that's from sitting around in this computer chair for 14 - 18 hours a day, and not moving.

Woke up this morning (after spending from 4:00 to 5:30 wide awake thinking about things and listening to the storm) and found that the dogs had already taken care of business on the kitchen floor. So, that was impetus to clean said kitchen floor (again, I had done it on Friday) and to again wonder why the hell I have these two dependant animals.

I have skipped going to church today so that I can make a stab at getting caught up. Joey is coming over today (yeah, sure) to re-wire my car stereo and take a stab at putting in the OnStar .. Trev has the installation books for the OnStar, which suggests that I need to get him over here before we can ..

It's hopeless. I just need to make an appointment with a real stereo shop.

Have my homework for tomorrow's class done, at least.

Friday night, I was watching "Angel: Season Five" and saw the episode where Angel is turned into a muppet. Mikey promptly found me one online, and in a week or so, he'll be residing in the Divo ToyStore.
