Sunny Saturday

Well, what a gorgeous day we're having .. the last few days, we've had what my friend Guy calls "Chamber of Commerce weather." How true.

Had lunch at the Grand Luxe cafe today - okay, $13 for a hamburger with crappy friends and obsequious service? Perhaps not again.

Already cleaned up the apartment, picked up the dry cleaning. Have to spend a little time doing some paperwork organization, and then it's time for relaxation. Don't know what the program is going to be tonight; Mikey and I were discussing returning to Jarred's bar. He bought the drinks last night, and has started to see the wisdom of hanging out at Jarred's bar, where the drinks seem to be free.

Ruby's 'service engine soon' light is staying on. I've decided that she needs a new fuel cap, instead of something expensive.

I've been mulling around some of the input I've had, and how I've been interpreting it. Obviously, I've moved on to the "next" issue, which involves people attacking me for what appears to be no reason. I need to do some processing on this one for a while, and read our stuff for Monday night. It may be linked to what I uncovered last week; I don't know just yet.

Okay, nap time and more contemplation.

Thursday, the normal meeting day

It's a glorious day here in Baghdad on the Bayou, and I have an open day to work on various paperwork that needs looking at. Kind of nice. Tonight, I'm having dinner with one of my favorite people, with whom I don't get to spend very much time anymore. She is a pianist, and was musical director for a number of musicals that I've been in, or at theaters where I was the administrator. She's brilliant, laid back, wonderful and I'm really looking forward to seeing her.

I am expecting my favorite sexually ambiguous "straight" boy to join us - he's a masseur (when he works) and I haven't seen him for months. Last time I saw him, we got quite drunk at my apartment, and he was flopping around on the sofa, playing with his (very flat) belly and grousing about how women don't give good head. I just left it alone.

The National Rifle Association is expecting as many as 60,000 people at its annual convention in Houston next week. Yeep!

Tuesday - manifestation day!!

Well, today, I am manifesting. I have to spend a little time getting more clear about just what all I am GOING to manifest, but that's what today is all about. Manifestation Tuesday.

I realized this morning that I can stream XM online now (it's a new feature of theirs.) YAY!

I think we're going to have rain today - it sure looks that way.

Been talking to different office suite operations about plunking Fabulair down at one of them. That's a few weeks away, but it's going to have to happen.

Okay, it's time to either screw around some more or get some work done!

Monday, Monday ver. 629.01

Well, it was a hoot of a weekend. Mostly.

Friday evening, I decided that my auto insurance renewal was TOO high, and I started shopping. On the internet, of course, since I don't actually do these things until after business hours and need to find my information online. Yes, I saved $430.00 every six months with GEICO. Yes, I surely did. Even after Allstate responded to my policy change requests, their policy was over $320 more than GEICO. So, I'm now insured by the gecko. After saving that much money, I was feeling frisky, and bought myself a reward ticket on Continental to YVR to visit E later this month. I paid $29.60 for this ticket (whoop!) so that's going to be lots of fun.

Mikey and I went out on Friday night (Brim hunting) which was singularly unrewarding. Jarred (the South African bartender) told Mikey to tell me that he had received his Fabulair shirt, blah. Couldn't bother telling ME thank you, but of course, I'm ignoring his sorry self, and haven't gone up to him and ASKED for thanks.

Kelly from Dallas showed up (what a shock) and Brim immediately began climbing him like a cat post. Why is this? I don't know. Anyway, Curt was kind enough to spirit me out of there quickly, and I came home to delete most of the worthless men from my cell phone memory.

Saturday, I farted around, and had the AWESOME meeting with the woman from Olivia. That was three hours, and then I came back here to do some work. Saturday evening, Mikey and I went to a new Wally World (what a disappointment THAT was) and then stopped at Curt's house for a bit. Came back here and screwed around on the computer for hours until I realized that, with the time change, it was already 1:30 in the morning.

Sunday morning, of course, I had to leave for church early. Breakfast at Barnaby's (this is standard routine) and then off to Clear Lake. Arrived, everything was catawampus, and I had a real attitude as I was putting things out where they needed to be. The conversation (once people showed up) was really great, and we had a good time with that.

Came home, changed clothes quickly and went to Bradley's Birthday Luau. Had a great time there, although it was mostly a freak show. I entered the raffle for the five prizes that they had, and won two of them. Pictures attached. Also happened home with a stray, who will probably be gone before you think to call me and dog me about it.

So far this morning, things are moving right along. I'm about to start working on my homework for tonight, and then I have mail to get out, and tax returns to do. Very fun. More as it happens.
