After twelve years of moving its bulk, paying movers to move its bulk and dusting, I've finally sold my piano. It came to live with me during the election returns of 1996, and has occupied a significant chunk of real estate ever since.
In February, the offer to purchase was made and I endured many days of deep remorse and sadness contemplating it. After moving it again just a few weeks ago, I began to wonder just WHAT I was thinking and got over myself.
So, I emailed the fellow who offered to buy it back in February, and he was still interested. His movers just picked it up a few minutes ago. It's gone. I don't miss it, although I now have a bunch of sheet and book music that is basically worthless (and has been so for a long time, since it's never been used the entire time I've had it.)
